France remains the most appealing destination in 2007, followed by Spain and the US (median of international tourist arrivals is 21 million, vertical orange line). However, in terms of receipts, the hierarchy is reversed, with the US at the top, followed by Spain and France (median of tourism receipts is 16 billion US$, horizontal orange line). If we consider the revenue per tourist, the hierarchy changes again, with the US still at the top position, followed now by Germany, UK, Thailand and Italy [Some data points overlap and are not visible in the chart - please check the table].
