Newcomer F1 car constructor Brawn-Mercedes managed to keep the top position of Formula 1 Team Championship for 2009 until the end of the contest, notwithstanding the growing aggressiveness of the RBR-Renault team. At season closing, the final hierarchy for the top five places did not change. The 2009 season has not been a lucky one for former glories Ferrari, McLaren or Renault.
