Jenson Button becomes the 2009 F1 Champion with a total of 95 points and 16 podium positions, of which 6 Grand Prix wins. The young Vettel finishes the season with a 2nd standing, after delivering an aggressive performance that could have made him a threat to the champion. Unable to resist Vettel, Barrichello finished 3rd.
