BP (blood pressure) levels for girls by age and height.
The upper two curves correspond to the 90th and 95th percentiles for SBP (systolic blood pressure), and the lower ones to the 90th and 95th percentiles for DBP (diastolic blood pressure).
BP below the blue lines (90th percentiles) is normal. In adolescents, BP equal to or exceeding 120/80 mmHg is prehypertension, even if this figure is less than the 90th percentile.
BP above the red lines (greater than the 95th percentile) may be hypertension. BP levels vary according to the youngster's height. The chart only considers the median height (50th percentile) for the US population.
Therefore the user should be cautious in interpreting the readings, and ask the physician's advice in case of doubt.
