Area and production data on cereals relate to crops harvested for dry grain, i.e.:
wheat and other edible grain,
other cereals such as mixed grains and buckwheat.
Production data includes the quantities sold in the market and the quantities consumed or used by the producers (auto-consumption). Crops harvested for hay, harvested green for food, feed or silage or used for grazing are excluded.
